About the Cockapoo

Cockapoos are one of the earliest designer breeds — a mix of Cocker Spaniel and Poodle. They're affectionate, people-oriented, and low-shedding, making them wonderful companion dogs.

Parentage changes the care picture

Confirm the Cocker type and Poodle variety. Working Cocker ancestry can bring substantial activity and scent interest, while generation labels do not fix temperament or adult size. Plan training, sniffing and rest alongside exercise.

Grooming, ears and health evidence

Coats vary and can mat without regular brushing and grooming. Discuss ear care and relevant screening for both parent breeds with your vet. No Cockapoo is guaranteed allergy-safe, calm or free from inherited risks; evaluate the actual parents and individual puppy.

General care information, not an individual veterinary assessment. Ask your own vet to interpret health records.
