Parentage, size and temperament
A Cavapoo combines Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and Poodle ancestry. Toy versus Miniature Poodle parentage influences likely size, but a crossbreed label cannot promise adult weight or behaviour. Many enjoy company and training; plan gradual alone-time practice and assess the individual puppy, not a universal 'easy family dog' label.
Exercise, grooming and family life
Provide daily walks, sniffing, play and short training sessions appropriate to age and health. Curly or wavy coats can mat: practise gentle handling, brushing, drying and grooming from puppyhood. Shedding and allergy response vary. Supervise children and provide a quiet resting place rather than assuming a sociable breed tolerates all handling.
Health and long-term suitability
Ask about appropriate screening for both the Cavalier and the actual Poodle variety, including relevant cardiac, eye and other breed-specific checks. DNA testing does not replace clinical assessment.
