About the Labradoodle

Labradoodles blend the Labrador's friendly temperament with the Poodle's low-shedding coat. They're highly social, easy to train, and wonderful with families of all sizes.

Size and activity vary

Labrador–Poodle ancestry and Poodle variety influence adult size and exercise needs. Ask about the actual parents rather than relying on a miniature or generation label. Many Labradoodles enjoy active walks, retrieving and learning; practise calm behaviour as well as exercise.

Coat and health planning

Straight, wavy and curly coats can occur, with different shedding and grooming needs. Budget for the more demanding outcome and avoid allergy guarantees. Ask about relevant screening for both parents, including hip, elbow and eye schemes where appropriate, and discuss any DNA results with your vet.

General care information, not an individual veterinary assessment. Ask your own vet to interpret health records.
